Overview

This course is designed to prepare your child for CGSE science. We explore key concepts with a focus on comprehension, before building a plan for year 10 to maintain high levels of understanding and core skill-development. We review the full range of GCSE topics across the three sciences and we also take time to learn how to utilise equations to demonstrate understanding.

 

Exam board focus: fully inclusive of focused course content and technique for AQA GCSE courses 8461, 8462, 8463 and 8464 (separate sciences and double award

and Pearson Edecxel iGCSE courses 4BI1, 4CH1 and 4PH1 (separate sciences). Designed to prepare your child for Year 10 and to equip them with comprehension and tools for their GCSE studies.

    This course is taught across 30 weeks, over three terms (October to May) in year 11 so your child will have their first 1:1 orientation session in October 2025 and sit exams in May-June 2026. Sessions are held online weekly on Mondays, including during school and public holidays (with two breaks). 1:1 tutorials are individually scheduled and are held monthly.

    Entry requirements

    There are no course entry requirements, instead each student will conplete a baseline assessment as part of their course initiation, which will help map a trajectory to exam success.
